Therapy is an open, non-judgmental space to come into contact with the complex and challenging aspects of life. Through the process you will begin to know yourself, more honestly and intimately in order to live a deeply meaningful life with clear intention and heart aligned purpose. I hold therapy as a place where my clients can create a spacious and rich dialogue with their inner world to heal, shape and inspire their lives.  Our suffering is worthy of our time, our curiosity and our compassionate attention.

Early experiences from childhood, trauma, loss, and tragedy are all human experiences that can separate us from our sense of self and impact our sense of safety in the world and in our relationships.

When we are disconnected from our selves it can manifest  in a multitude of ways. Some common examples include: anxiety and fear, shame, depression, anger, grief, stress, rumination, self harm, perfectionism and isolation. It is natural to need the care and support of another to reconnect.

A trusted therapeutic relationship can be the space to risk facing childhood wounds, move beyond limiting unconscious patterns and tend to the painful symptoms that often get left behind after difficult life experiences. In-depth psychotherapy offers the consistency, containment, and time for the process of personal transformation to unfold.

As we work together a hope of mine is to collaborate with you in a empathetic, compassionate and creative way. As your therapist I will bring an integrative framework into the process using a holistic approach to healing, unifying body, heart and mind. I believe it is important to honor, understand and integrate the various dimensions of our beings in order to heal. I come to this work with an open heart and a profound faith in the process. Ways of exploring include talk therapy, dream exploration, journaling, mindfulness practices, working with the soma and other techniques that can help explore ones life, ones self and create meaning along the journey of life.

I invite people of all backgrounds and life experiences to this work, and have particular interests in working with individual adults and adolescents. My work is informed by my background and study of Jungian depth oriented analytic psychotherapy, relational psychodynamic psychotherapy and somatic based healing modalities.

In addition to my background in psychotherapy, I have a deep and enriching study of movement, including yoga, pilates, meditation, conscious dance, and authentic movement. These practices offer additional dimensions to our work, providing avenues for somatic exploration, self-discovery, and holistic well-being.

My Approach

What is Depth Analytic Psychology?

Depth analytic psychology is a profound approach to understanding the human mind and spirit, delving into the intricate layers of the subconscious. Depth analytic psychology explores the deeper, often unconscious aspects of the psyche. It's akin to diving into the depths of a vast ocean, where hidden treasures and mysteries lie beneath the surface.

Through this approach, individuals explore the complex interplay between thoughts, emotions, dreams, and symbols, seeking to uncover the underlying patterns that shape their lives. It's a journey of self-discovery and transformation, where individuals gain insight into the deeper aspects of their personality, motivations, and experiences.

Depth analytic psychology acknowledges that the human psyche is not just a product of personal experiences, but also shaped by universal themes and archetypes that are shared across time, cultures and generations. By exploring these archetypal patterns and symbols, individuals can gain a deeper understanding of themselves and their place in the world.

Overall, depth analytic psychology offers a holistic approach to personal growth and healing, inviting individuals to explore the depths of their own inner worlds with curiosity and compassion. Through introspective rituals and profound reflection, we uncover the essence of our being, embracing both the darkness and the light as sacred components of our soul's journey.

What is Relational psychodynamic psychodynamic psychotherapy?

Relational psychodynamic psychotherapy emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as a powerful tool for exploration and healing, viewing it as a mirror for understanding past relational patterns and fostering growth. Through dialogue and exploration of interpersonal dynamics, this approach aims to deepen self-awareness and promote meaningful change.

What is Somatic Psychotherapy?

Somatic psychotherapy is a therapeutic approach that recognizes the intimate connection between the mind and body, focusing on the ways in which physical sensations and experiences can inform our emotional well-being. By engaging in gentle, body-centered practices and techniques, somatic psychotherapy aims to promote healing and integration on both psychological and physiological levels.
